Nowhere to go

Jens Nyberg is a 29 year old software developer living in Uppsala, Sweden. After finishing his studies in Computer Science at Uppsala University he has worked for various companies doing work mostly in the areas of web development including frontends, database integration, performance monitoring and data mining.

In his spare time he works as the lead programmer on the operating system fudge and the window manager xurfaced. Besides technology he likes reading, music, video-games and the company of his friends.

Fudge is a powerful yet elegant operating system. It started as a hobby somewhere around early 2009 but has since grown to become quite useful. Even if it takes a lot of inspiration from other operating systems Fudge is fundamentally different in many aspects and tries to incorporate new and unusual ideas.

With xurfaced you can watch movies, play games or anything else you might like. The way it is constructed, by communicating through stdin and stdout, makes it trivial to add new features without having to do any real programming.

The quality of this recording does not give justice to how smooth it actually runs even on a moderate computer.
